Konigstein in the Saxon region of Germany can be found 25 miles South East of Dresden on the banks of the river Elbe. Saxon Switzerland (Little Switzerland)

The region is also the home of the Saxon Switzerland National Park comprising of more than 36,000 hectares of the Elbe sandstone mountains, created by the river Elbe over 100m years ago. Being a National Park there are endless hikes and treks including the 112 kilometre long "Painters Route" considered by many as the most beautiful walk in Germany. There is a huge range of local activities including canoeing, rafting, boat trips, rock climbing, via ferrata, mountain biking, indoor and outdoor high ropes centre, caving and much more. What’s more, with both the Czech and Polish borders within easy reach you could venture into three countries on the one trip.

Orienteering

Following an initiation, groups have to find their way through unfamiliar territory using a map and compass. This is a full day activity in the Czech republic for a min 10 and a max 15 persons, the level of difficulty can be adapted to suit the group.
